Carers’ Week 8-14 June 2015

on .

Monday 8 June marks the beginning of Carers' Week, an annual campaign that raises awareness of the challenges carers face and the contribution they make.

Carers' Week focuses on those too often neglected: the carers that improve the lives of those they care for. Carers often face many challenges which can impact their health, their social and working lives, and their finances. This year's campaign is focusing on what communities can do to help.

Carer Friendly Communities are geared towards addressing the needs of carers. Supporting communities can help carers to look after loved ones and live their own lives. From doctors to shopkeepers, pharmacists to employers, politicians to family members, all the members of a community can work together to support carers.
