The ‘We are the NHS’ campaign is back to highlight the important, valuable and varied nursing roles available in the NHS.
Nursing is an incredible career that can offer fantastic and endless opportunities. And there are many exciting specialisms in the NHS, from learning disabilities to mental health and diabetes.
Nurses in the NHS work on the frontline of healthcare, making a difference to the lives of patients each and every day. They study for three years at university, with additional expert training on the job. Many people do not realise the huge range of intellectually challenging work that is undertaken as a nurse, and the broad range of specialisms available.
This year, you can sign up to a new applicant support system which guides prospective nursing candidates through their UCAS applications and beyond, tailored support available every step of the way.
