Find out more about the restarting of NHS Thurrock CCG's Governing Body meetings and how you can access them.
How do I access the Governing Body meetings?
- Anyone with an internet connection or phone line can access virtual CCG Governing Body meetings via the MS Teams links published on CCG websites.
- While you can join through a mobile/smartphone by downloading the MS Teams App, you are advised to use a desktop or laptop computer. If you choose to access the meeting through a mobile/smartphone you will receive a prompt about installation and use of the MS Teams app alongside the request for a username and password to access the meeting. This is not a requirement when using a desktop or laptop computer. Registration with and use of the app (with GDPR compliance) is therefore at individual discretion.
- You will then need to click “Join now”. You will then enter the “lobby” until the host or another participant lets the user into the meeting. Watch a video about how to attend a Microsoft Teams meeting.
Note we are looking into providing telephone access for those people unable to get online, please bear with us while we work to resolve this.
Members of the public are invited to submit questions in advance of each Governing Body meeting. There will be a dedicated section during the Governing Body meeting to address any questions from members of the public, please check the relevant agenda. For more information, see below.
How do I submit a question to the Governing Body?
As part of our commitment to putting local residents at the heart of our commissioning decisions, NHS Thurrock CCG welcomes questions from members of the public about the items being discussed at Governing Body meetings.
As we test out new technology we ask that all questions are submitted in advance, in writing.
If it is not possible to fully answer a question during the meeting, a written response will be provided directly to the relevant person.
If you are asking the question on behalf of an organisation or company that has an interest in the issue you are raising, please make this clear.
How will you make sure the meeting is inclusive?
There are a number of functions on MS Teams that will make our virtual Governing meetings more accessible and enable local residents to attend from the comfort of their own home.
For those that are deaf or hard of hearing, you are now able to turn on subtitles. If you click on the three dots ‘…’ shown below and click: ‘Turn of live-captions'.
