Safer Places domestic abuse support services
Safer Places provides domestic abuse services for the whole of Essex. These services are there to provide support to everyone who experiences domestic abuse.
The support that people receive will be tailored to the needs of the individual and will take into account their personal choices and the level of risk that they face. Some of the services available include refuges, counselling, help with children’s social services, support with money issues and employment, and many others.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, you can talk to someone at Safer Places 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 03301 025811

South Essex Domestic Abuse Hubs
A South Essex Domestic Abuse Hubs service operates across South Essex, including Thurrock, and provides help, advice and assistance to people that are suffering from domestic abuse.
The hubs enable those fleeing or requiring advice regarding domestic abuse to be seen. Their issues are often dealt with in a single day without the need for repeat signposting to other services.
Staff from a number of services including housing, Citizen’s Advice, Changing Pathways, Essex Police and a domestic abuse co-ordinator, will work collaboratively tackling the issues that people face.
The Thurrock hub takes place every Friday. For details about times and locations for the hub, contact Changing Pathways on 01268 729707.
