Be Self Care Aware

What is self care?

Self care is about looking after yourself in a healthy way. It can be anything from brushing your teeth, doing some exercise, managing common conditions (like headaches, colds and flu) or living with a long-term health problem, such as asthma or diabetes.

Self Care Week

Every year, a week-long information campaign takes place to help spread information about self care and how you can use it to look after your health. This year, it will take place from Monday 13 to 19 November 2017.

Understanding Self care for life

A different theme is chosen each year for Self Care Week. Last year's theme focused on Understanding Self care for life. This includes helping you better understand how to look after any minor ailments or long-term conditions you may have, and how to prevent ill health by choosing healthy options for good physical and mental wellbeing.
