Be Self Care Aware

What is self care?

Self care is about looking after yourself in a healthy way. It can be anything from brushing your teeth, doing some exercise, managing common conditions (like headaches, colds and flu) or living with a long-term health problem, such as asthma or diabetes.

Self Care Week 2014

Self care for life – be healthy this winter

A different theme is chosen each year for Self Care Week and because demand on health services increases in winter months, often due to weather related illnesses, this year's theme focuses on keeping well during winter.
There is also a need to help signpost people to the right service during winter as people are genuinely confused about where to go for their health needs.
